Welcome to my blog, which I have titled ‘An Exploration of Technology in Education’ and will serve as a platform for me to share my learning and insight while I carry on through my educational adventure in the Yukon Native Teacher Education Program (YNTEP) at Yukon College (through the University of Regina) here on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dun First Nations and the Ta’an Kwach’an Council.

I am a foster, adoptive, step and biological mother. I realized that I could contribute to the growth and development of many more young people if I were to go into the teaching profession. Being able to open young minds to the wonder of our world is an important and special position to be in.
I grew up in Southern Ontario, where I graduated from George Brown College. I relocated to Iqaluit, Nunavut after entering my twenties and have spent the rest of my adult life living in sub-arctic or high-arctic communities. My children call Sachs Harbour, Northwest Territories home but we all truly love being in the Yukon.
